new vs. old

trying to now get my logo up to par with the rest of the thesis. the logo seems to simple.

what are thoughts on the "spiro-graph" look vs. the old simple look?

    slicker, simpler spirograph.

    as clean as the other.

    not quite as simple.

    Yeah somewhere in the middle.
    Maybe the outer border is solid, and then keep the nice patterning on the inside
