new vs. old

trying to now get my logo up to par with the rest of the thesis. the logo seems to simple.

what are thoughts on the "spiro-graph" look vs. the old simple look?

for some reason when i post on here the blue gets lighter. the blue is supposed to be a little darker. helps with the contrast.

i am adding little information on the bottom, such as magnitude and the percentage of the population killed by the earthquake.

i put texture because i wanted to give it that feel of an old map. but not overpowering.

taking the qr code and making it my own. so using the same technology but redesigning it to fit my company.

for my business card i want a nice clean look. i know alot of these look the same but its alot of color variations.

it will be a flat card with a varnish circle. that idea was mentioned in class and i really like that idea of simplicity with an extra design element.

some options for book covers. what i want to do is have the thicker red circle (HAL) raised up a little to give it some dimension.

thoughts?

QR

i tried making the qr code look to be the shape of my logo but it wasn't looking right. i have my logo in the qr code. its small but there. i will try and work on making it a little bigger.

also if you do decide to scan them. it links to my blog site.


do you think the qr code is too big on the access card?


edit, i changed my envelope cover and backside. also have the smaller qr code look and logo qr code. i personally prefer the square code because its just not working with the octagon shape.

i also like the smaller code on the access card better.

I went back to the simple graphic look and liking it better. on the backside i was fooling around with making the bar-code the atlas logo, just so its not a standard looking bar-code. to gain access into atlas you need to scan the bar-code while another part of the machine scans your eye.

then you have your access card which allows you to enter certain areas on the grounds depending on your clearance level.

thoughts on the newer id badge???

so i am liking this letterhead approach better. still not sure though.

as for the ID badges, I prefer the black one. i want to go with a fingerprint as an id method instead of a photo.
